The Impact of Disinformation and Misinformation on Media and Democracy in Kenya.

The Kenya Union of Journalists conducted a study on the impact of disinformation and misinformation on Kenya’s 2022 General Election. The study revealed the prevalence, sources, and effects of false information on the electoral process and democracy. It also recommended strategies to counter disinformation and misinformation, such as media literacy campaigns, fact-checking systems, and multi-stakeholder collaboration.
