In 2017, Kenya Media Sector Working Group (KMSWG) was formed to be a coalition of all like-minded orgainsations to spearhead synergy in deliberating and getting solutions to emerging issues in media industry in Kenya.

Cognisant of the important role the media plays in safeguarding civic space to promote democratic governance, there is a need for the Kenya Media Sector Working Group to discuss these issues, and make preparations ahead of the referendum on the constitutional review, which is just three months away.
